EL PASO, TEXAS (KFOX14\/CBS4) \u2014 A 27-year-old El Paso woman was arrested on Wednesday on a warrant for a murder charge in connection with a 2022 shooting after being out on bond. <\/p>\n
The El Paso County Constable Office Precinct Three arrested Rachel Ramona Rivota on Wednesday after receiving information about an active personal recognizance bond warrant for a murder charge. <\/p>\n
According to police, deputies apprehended Rivota at the 7000 block of Spruce Wood Court and transported her to the El Paso County Jail, where she was booked without further incident and charged with the warrant. <\/p>\n
The warrant stems from a 2022 shooting in which Rivota was initially arrested on Sept. 22, 2022, in connection with a murder case outside the Oyster Bar on Sept. 18, 2022. <\/p>\n
Rivota, then 24, was arrested and charged with the murder of a 35-year-old man, Christopher Ryan Correa, who was shot dead behind the 10-4 Oyster Bar on September 18, 2022, according to the El Paso Police Department.<\/p>\n
Alexander Diaz, 26, was arrested and charged with murder in 2022. He has since pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 50 years in prison in March 2025. <\/p>\n
Police stated Diaz was seen getting out of a vehicle with a rifle and walking up to Correa, shooting him multiple times.<\/p>\n
Rivota was the driver of the vehicle from which Diaz got out, according to police.<\/p>\n
On September 23, 2022, a warrant for murder was issued for the arrest of Rivota.<\/p>\n
U.S. Marshals Lone Star Fugitive Taskforce took Rivota into custody and booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility.<\/p>\n
According to police, she had been released on split bonds totaling $500,000.<\/p>\n
Constable Bernal emphasized the ongoing efforts of his deputies to execute outstanding warrants in El Paso as part of their commitment to public safety. <\/p>\n
He reminded the public that deputies remain vigilant in their patrol duties and will enforce warrants from all law enforcement agencies.<\/p>\n
