The Dallas Stars<\/a> continue their lengthy road trip that began on Jan. 6 against Carolina when they visit the Anaheim Ducks on Tuesday night.<\/p>\n

Dallas will be playing on the second night of a back-to-back after a 3-1 victory over the Los Angeles Kings on Monday night<\/a>. Will the Stars be able to get up and pick up their second win in as many nights?<\/p>\n

The Ducks are well-rested as they welcome the Stars to Anaheim. The Ducks last played on Jan. 10, while Dallas is on the second leg of a back-to-back.<\/p>\n

However, despite a significant rest advantage, the Ducks are mired in a very ugly stretch of hockey. Anaheim has yet to even collect a point in January and has lost nine straight games and dropped 13 of its last 15 games.<\/p>\n

Anaheim has a 21-21-3 record overall and a 12-8-1 record on its home ice. The Ducks have a -18 goal differential and have surrendered the most goals in the NHL so far this season.<\/p>\n

Dallas has a 27-10-9 record overall and a 15-4-6 record on the road. The Stars still rank second in the league with 160 total goals (averaging 3.48 per game) and have the second-best goal differential in the Western Conference.<\/p>\n

The teams will face off for the third time this season, with the first two meetings both being high-scoring affairs. Dallas fell to Anaheim 7-5 at home on Nov. 6<\/a>, but blasted the Ducks in Anaheim in an 8-3 rout<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Top performers<\/p>\n

Jason Robertson<\/a> has 55 points on the season for Dallas and is coming off a night in which he scored a game-winning goal late in the third period to beat the Kings. Wyatt Johnston, who also found the back of the net against Los Angeles, has five goals in his last five games.<\/p>\n

Keep an eye on Ducks forward Leo Carlsson, who had two points in Anaheim\u2019s last game on Jan. 10 and leads the team in scoring with 44 points. For his career against the Stars, Carlsson has five points in seven games.<\/p>\n

Stars: 3-3-4, averaging 3.2 goals while giving up 3.3 goals per game.<\/p>\n

Ducks: 1-8-1, averaging 2.6 goals while giving up 4.8 goals per game.<\/p>\n
