Tuesday will start off in the 60s and by the afternoon we\u2019ll be in the 80s and lower-90s just a few degrees warmer than Monday. We\u2019ll continue to watch another air quality alert, coupled with high ragweed allergies.<\/p>\n

An air quality alert has been issued on Tuesday for Houston, Galveston, and Brazoria, with elevated fire danger continuing through the evening. Skip the bonfires, especially in our northern areas where fire risk remains higher compared to other parts of Houston.<\/p>\n

Dry, warm weather is expected to persist through most of this week with another period of elevated fire risk anticipated. Even when we start to see a little more humidity by the end of the week, we\u2019re running well below normal for rainfall so far this fall.<\/p>\n
Avoid spark-causing activities, as fires can flare up fast.<\/p>\n
Never leave a fire burning unattended or without purpose.<\/p>\n
Secure tow chains to prevent dragging and sparking.<\/p>\n
Don\u2019t drive or park over tall grass.<\/p>\n
Avoid tossing lit cigarettes onto the ground.<\/p>\n
Tracking the tropics: <\/p>\n
Tropical Strom Lorenzo formed early Monday in the central Atlantic. As a very similar pattern that we\u2019ve seen for a good chunk of this summer\u2019s pattern, Lorenzo will also stay out to sea. <\/p>\n

Overall, we\u2019re still looking to enjoy a nice stretch of comfortable mornings through the middle of the week. Afternoons will still stay warm and we\u2019ll see more humidity by the end of the week as a front will brings showers and thunderstorms Friday and Saturday. <\/p>\n
