Welcome to the first Pro Series stop of 2026! The PSS kicks off in Austin this year, at the Lee and Joe Jamail Texas Swimming Center.<\/p>\n

This morning\u2019s prelims session is scheduled to be a short one, coming in at a little over an hour. Overall, this is a fairly small, with only 30 total heats in this entire session.<\/p>\n
We\u2019ll be kicking things off with the 50 freestyle. Simone Manuel<\/a> is the top seed in the women\u2019s 50 free, coming in with a 24.13. Manuel will be swimming in her home pool, as she trains at Texas under Bob Bowman. On the men\u2019s side of things, Jack Alexy<\/a> comes in as the top seed with a 21.32. There\u2019s a strong field in the men\u2019s 50 free behind Alexy, with Caeleb Dressel<\/a>, Chris Guiliano<\/a>, Andrej Barna<\/a>, Maxime Grousset<\/a>, Nikita Baez<\/a>, and Matt King<\/a> also in the field.<\/p>\n The women\u2019s 100 breast only has 11 swimmers entered in it, led by Anna Elendt<\/a> with a 1:05.19. Denis Petrashov<\/a> is the top seed in the men\u2019s 100 breast by a big margin, coming in with a 58.88. Jack Kelly and Van Mathias are the only other swimmers seeded under 1:00, coming in with times of 59.72 and 59.74 respectively.<\/p>\n Summer McIntosh<\/a> is the clear favorite in the women\u2019s 200 IM. McIntosh comes in with a 2:05.70, making her the top seed by over 5 seconds. In the men\u2019s 200 IM, Leon Marchand<\/a> and Shaine Casas<\/a> are set to race. Marchand comes in with a 1:52.69, while Casas has a 1:54.30.<\/p>\n Regan Smith<\/a> leads the way in the women\u2019s 100 back, while Yohann Ndoye Brouard is the top seed in the men\u2019s 100 back.<\/p>\n WOMEN\u2019S 50 FREESTYLE \u2013 PRELIMS<\/p>\n World Record: 23.61 \u2013 Sarah Sjostrom, SWE (2023) TOP 8 QUALIFIERS:<\/p>\n Beryl Gastaldello<\/a> \u2013 24.89 Beryl Gastaldello<\/a> looked good this morning in the women\u2019s 50 free, leading the field with a 24.89. Gastaldello was the only swimmer in the field to go under 25 seconds, setting herself up well for finals.<\/p>\n Simone Manuel<\/a>, the top seed coming into the morning, was 25.10 this morning.
