Farm-to-Market Road 1294. The event is hosted by <a href=\"https:\/\/agrilife.tamu.edu\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Texas A&amp;M AgriLife<\/a>, Kansas State University and Oklahoma State University.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/20240917_Cotton_MM_1709-1.jpg\" data-slb-active=\"1\" data-slb-asset=\"1125323199\" data-slb-group=\"363555\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/20240917_Cotton_MM_1709-1.jpg\" alt=\"fluffy white cotton on brown plants\" class=\"wp-image-363556 lazyload\"  data- style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 600px; --smush-placeholder-aspect-ratio: 600\/400;\"\/><\/a>The Southwest Cotton Physiology Conference will be in Lubbock on Feb. 10-12 and feature speakers from Texas, Oklahoma and Kansas. (Michael Miller\/Texas A&amp;M AgriLife)<\/p>\n<p>The program will begin at 1 p.m. Feb. 10 and continue all day on Feb. 11 and again until noon on Feb. 12.<\/p>\n<p>The fee is $20, and <a href=\"https:\/\/tpma.eventsmart.com\/events\/2026-southwest-cotton-physiology-conference\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">registration is available online<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>There will be eight and a half <a href=\"https:\/\/texasagriculture.gov\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Texas Department of Agriculture<\/a> continuing education units and Certified Crop Advisers units in the following categories: two pest management, four crop management, one and a half in soil and water management, and one nutrient management.<\/p>\n<p>On the agenda<\/p>\n<p>The program will have the following topics and speakers on Feb. 10:<\/p>\n<p>Pathology and nematode update \u2013 Terry Wheeler, Ph.D., <a href=\"https:\/\/agriliferesearch.tamu.edu\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Texas A&amp;M AgriLife Research<\/a> plant pathologist and professor, Lubbock, and Tom Isakeit Ph.D., <a href=\"https:\/\/agrilifeextension.tamu.edu\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Texas A&amp;M AgriLife Extension Service<\/a> plant pathologist and professor, Bryan-College Station, all in the <a href=\"https:\/\/plantpathology.tamu.edu\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Texas A&amp;M Department of Plant Pathology and Microbiology<\/a>;
