This project is part of phase one of the I-10 Widening West Project.

Lauren Macias Cervantes, TxDOT’s public information officer, advised drivers to be mindful of changes: “One thing that drivers do need to keep in mind that once this exit opens, it’s about a mile, a little more than a mile before the previous eastbound Mesa exit that they were used to. They need to be aware that they’ll be exiting a little bit earlier.”

Ahead of the reopening, a complete closure on I-10 from Redd to Mesa is scheduled for next weekend to finalize the three-lane configuration on this stretch.

If you have a topic you would like Marisol Hernandez to feature in her “What’s Driving You Crazy?” segment, send her an email at mamhernandez@sbgtv.com.

RECOMMENDED: What’s Driving You Crazy: What happens next following road damage from a crash?

RECOMMENDED: What’s Driving You Crazy: Why some El Paso roads lack left-turn markings

Comment with Bubbles

BE THE FIRST TO COMMENT

Sign up to receive the top interesting stories from in and around our community once daily in your inbox.

EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — Exiting Interstate 10 at Mesa Street in West El Paso is what is…

[12
138,140,139
0":"post-124571","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-el-paso","8":"tag-el-paso","9":"tag-el-paso-headlines","10":"tag-el-paso-news
["GET
