ARLINGTON, Texas – The Mavericks (11-5, 3-1 WAC) are again in the Beehive State to take on Utah Tech (9-9, 2-2 WAC) at 8 p.m. CT on Thursday, Jan. 15, from Burns Arena. UTA won its third straight game its last time out, defeating ACU, 82-72, on Jan. 10, while Utah Tech fell 92-76 on the road at Utah Valley on Saturday. The game will be broadcast live on ESPN+<\/a>, as well as on the radio on the Varsity Network App with Will Conerly.<\/p>\n The Trailblazers are led by head coach Jon Judkins, who is in his 21st season as the head coach in St. George, where he is 347-238 across his 21 campaigns, 19 of which are at the D1 level. Judkins was also the head coach at Snow College for 12 seasons.<\/p>\n Utah Tech is led by senior forward Ethan Potter, a transfer from Utah Valley, who is averaging 16.1 ppg and 7.4 rpg. A trio of other Trailblazers are also averaging double figures – sophomore guard Noah Bolanga (12.1 ppg and 6.0 rpg), redshirt sophomore guard Chance Trujillo (11.1 ppg and 3.5 rpg) and redshirt senior guard Jusaun Holt (10.4 ppg and 3.5 rpg).<\/p>\n Thursday night’s meeting between UTA and Utah Tech will be the sixth all-time, with UTA holding a 4-1 advantage, and the Mavs won the most recent meeting, 73-71, in Arlington on Feb. 1, 2025.<\/p>\n UTA is led by a pair of seniors in McCreary (14.7 ppg and 5.1 rpg) and forward Raysean Seamster<\/a> (13.6\u00a0ppg and 6.4\u00a0rpg).
