Christian Hall, 15, was working as a deckhand on a 74-foot yacht when his boss offered to bring him on the trip of a lifetime: A voyage from Corpus Christi to Florida.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Hall asked his family for permission to go on the trip, but they wouldn\u2019t allow it.<\/p>\n
On Nov. 24, 2005, Hall and the boat\u2019s captain, 39-year-old David \u201cDusty\u201d Andrews, departed from the John\u00a0F. Kennedy Memorial Causeway that connects Laguna Madre and North Padre Island in\u00a0Corpus Christi. Hall and Andrews were the only people on board.<\/p>\n
At one point the yacht, named GYPSY II, sent a mayday call off of the coast of Louisiana, but Andrews reportedly declined assistance.<\/p>\n
The vessel did not make it to Florida as planned, and there have been no confirmed sightings of Hall, Andrews or the GYPSY II since.<\/p>\n
More than 20 years later, Hall\u2019s family is still searching for answers with the help of the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.\u00a0<\/p>\n
A forensic artist with the NCMEC has released an age-progressed photo of Hall to show what he might look like today. He would be 35 years old.<\/p>\n
Investigators and Hall\u2019s family hope the release of the\u00a0photo sparks a memory or motivates someone with information to come forward.<\/p>\n
Carla Boehm, Hall\u2019s aunt, told NCMEC she believes there is a chance her nephew is still alive. If he is, she wants him to know his family wants to\u00a0see him again.<\/p>\n
\u201cIf he thinks nobody cares, maybe he\u2019s not even trying to come home,\u201d Boehm said.<\/p>\n
