Refugees detained in President Trump\u2019s sweeping Immigration and Customs Enforcement operations in Minneapolis are being sent to detention centers in Texas, including one just south of San Antonio, according to a report by the Dallas Observer<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Officials at Minneapolis legal group Advocates for Human Rights told the Observer that at least 100 have been detained by ICE since the start of Operation PARRIS last week. The sweep appears to be targeting Somali refugees.<\/p>\n

The legal group told the Observer that its clients detained during the operation, have been transported to the Dilley Immigration Processing Center, about 60 miles southwest of San Antonio, along with a facility in El Paso.<\/p>\n

Court testimony filed by immigrant advocacy group RAICES in July reported that detainees at the Dilley lockup expressed concerns about lack of medical care, clean drinking water and the absence of adequate food, as reported by the Current<\/a>.<\/p>\n

One detainee quoted in the legal filings said her 9-month-old son lost more than 9 pounds during the first month the family was held at the detention center.<\/p>\n
