There\u2019s a new, dangerous online challenge that\u2019s picking up steam called the \u201cDoor Kick Challenge.\u201d The challenge involves, as the name suggests, walking up to a stranger\u2019s door\u2014often late at night\u2014and kicking it.<\/p>\n
This trend has already reached Houston, and authorities are warning everyone not to participate. Harris County Precinct 1 Constable Alan Rosen told our TV partner Channel 2 that it could have deadly consequences. \u201cIf kids actually kick, and actually go in the house, and someone was ready for them?\u201d he said. \u201cOr saw it on a camera, waiting for them to kick the door in, and then starts to shoot?\u201d<\/p>\n
Rosen also pointed out that kicking a door like that could cause homeowners to panic. \u201cIf somebody\u2019s breaking into my home, I don\u2019t know how I\u2019m gonna respond,\u201d he said. \u201cImagine somebody kicking your door in, and you\u2019re hearing somebody break into your home.\u201d<\/p>\n
