DPS says one driver died at the scene while another was airlifted to a Corpus Christi hospital following a late-night crash.<\/p>\n
ROBSTOWN, Texas \u2014 One person is dead and three children are critically injured following a two-vehicle crash late Monday night at the intersection of County Road 77 and County Road 36 near Robstown, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS).<\/p>\n
DPS Sgt. Mallory said troopers were notified of the crash at 9:44 p.m. The collision involved a Ford Ranger and a Buick Rendezvous.<\/p>\n
The driver of the Buick Rendezvous was pronounced dead at the scene. Three children who were passengers in the Rendezvous were transported to a hospital in critical condition.<\/p>\n
HALO Flight airlifted the driver of the Ford Ranger to Spohn Shoreline Hospital for treatment. That driver\u2019s condition has not been released.<\/p>\n
DPS said the investigation remains ongoing.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Sgt. Mallory said they remain at the scene as they continue to investigate.<\/p>\n
