\u201cTeen Mom\u201d alum and OnlyFans star Farrah Abraham\u2019s<\/a> political ambitions are already causing whiplash.\u00a0<\/p>\n The reality TV lightning rod jumped into the race for Austin, Texas mayor earlier this week \u2013 only to pull out hours later after learning on live TV that the election isn\u2019t until 2028.\u00a0<\/p>\n Abraham, 34, appeared stunned when a TMZ Live host pointed out just how premature her campaign launch was during an interview Wednesday<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cTeen Mom\u201d alum and OnlyFans star Farrah Abraham jumped into the race for Austin, Texas mayor earlier this week \u2013 only to pull out hours later. Variety via Getty Images<\/p>\n \u201cSometimes people say, \u2018the less you know the more you like,\u2019\u201d the host quipped. \u201cYou are now giving them many years to make a decision, because the election is not until 2028. Why so early?\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cOh, for some reason, the mayor election is 2026 \u2013 I don\u2019t know, that\u2019s just what the office told me as well,\u201d the former MTV star replied, before erupting into laughter.\u00a0<\/p>\n By Thursday, she\u2019d ditched her mayoral bid and announced she was instead running for Austin City Council, local news outlet KXAN reported<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cI reached out to the city and I just was like, \u2018hey, I\u2019m very serious about this\u2026I love this city and I want to get involved in and help where I live and breathe, and I know I can help because I\u2019m making it, others seem to be struggling, and I want to jump in the mix,\u2019\u201d Abraham told the outlet.\u00a0<\/p>\n But she appeared shaky on the basics of local politics yet again.\u00a0<\/p>\n Abraham ditched her mayoral bid and announced she was instead running for Austin City Council. Instagram\/farrahabraham<\/p>\n When asked about her thoughts on her district\u2019s current council member, Abraham admitted she had no clue who held the seat \u2013 despite living in the district.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cI don\u2019t even know who\u2019s in District 5. Maybe their names just like aren\u2019t big names or something,\u201d she said. \u201cThey just don\u2019t come up where I work.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n The Nebraska native, who moved to Austin in 2013, told Page Six\u2019s \u201cVirtual Reali-Tea\u201d last year that she was \u201cmaking millions\u201d from OnlyFans<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n
