Officers with the El Paso Police Department were at various busy intersections assisting with traffic flow.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">It wasn\u2019t only traffic that was affected; multiple homes, schools and businesses were also hit with the power outage. In a video on social media, Coronado High School was seen with all hallway lights off. The video shows the multiple dark hallways and classrooms.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The outage started at about 12:30 p.m., according to the utility\u2019s outage map.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Faulty equipment, which has since been repaired, was the cause of the outage.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Copyright 2026 Nexstar Media, Inc.
