That work matters,\u201d Rutherford said. \u201cWe will build on it, nurture it and together to create a new part of the Lone Star story.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">The company described the site as a complex opportunity to connect neighbors better and create \u201cspaces that are needed\u201d in San Antonio.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">The redevelopment aims to find synergies with several ongoing projects in San Antonio, including the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ksat.com\/topic\/Project_Marvel\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.ksat.com\/topic\/Project_Marvel\/\">new downtown sports and entertainment distric<\/a>t and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ksat.com\/topic\/VIA_Metropolitan_Transit\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.ksat.com\/topic\/VIA_Metropolitan_Transit\/\">VIA Metropolitan Transit\u2019s transit-oriented development<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">Plans are still in the early stages, but Southstar acknowledged the project\u2019s complexity and the importance of community involvement.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">\u201cComplex development can only be successful if we\u2019re all ready to join the conversation and commit to a shared vision,\u201d Rutherford said. \u201cFor us, the goal is to shape a new future for Lone Star that includes everyone.
