The Lady Lions, down by as many as 16 in the fourth quarter, played well in the final minutes to make it a three-point game before the final SLU possession.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/lionsports.net\/sports\/womens-basketball\/roster\/eryn-mckinzie\/11339\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"11339\" target=\"_blank\">Eryn McKinzie<\/a> led all players in Saturday&#8217;s game, scoring 22 points, 12 of which were posted in the first quarter. <a href=\"https:\/\/lionsports.net\/sports\/womens-basketball\/roster\/aliyah-collins\/11322\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"11322\" target=\"_blank\">Aliyah Collins&#8217;<\/a> 18 points were second in the game, making a team-high three triples, and also dishing five assists.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nCollins also had a game-high four steals. <a href=\"https:\/\/lionsports.net\/sports\/womens-basketball\/roster\/bethany-graves\/11341\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"11341\" target=\"_blank\">Bethany Graves&#8217;<\/a> nine rebounds were the most on the team. McKinzie was second among the Lady Lions with seven rebounds, also swiping two steals in the contest.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nThe Islanders had three double-digit scorers in the game with K&#8217;Nari Holliday (16), Chelsea Wooten (16), and Asha Walker (13) each reaching the mark. Holliday was a force on the defensive side of the floor, also bringing in 11 rebounds for a double-double. Wooten led all players with four three-pointers, while Trinity Slocum had double-digit assists with 10.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nThe Lady Lions entered the locker room at halftime with a four-point advantage behind McKinzie&#8217;s dozen first-quarter points. The Islanders entered the second half swinging, outscoring SLU by 17 in the third frame. The Lady Lions responded in the fourth quarter, outscoring the home team by 10 to cut a 16-point deficit to three. After a missed Islander free throw, SLU attempted a three-pointer in the final nine seconds but was unable to make the game-tying shot.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nSoutheastern will be back in the University Center for a three-game home stand.
