The early voting period has begun for the November Richardson ISD bond election<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Lake Highlands neighbors will have the opportunity to cast their votes early on the three RISD bond propositions<\/a> from Oct. 20 through Oct 31. In addition to the district\u2019s $1.4 billion bond package, neighbors will also decide on 17 amendments to the Texas Constitution<\/a>.<\/p>\n

RISD trustees called the election in August after approving the recommended propositions put forward by the bond steering committee. Across three propositions, the district is asking voters to fund middle school rebuilds and remodels, instructional materials, stadium upgrades and technology purchases. Where to vote<\/p>\n

There are three open voting centers in or near Lake Highlands. They are:<\/p>\n

Audelia Road Branch Library \u2014 10045 Audelia Rd (Ballots cast as of 3 p.m. on Oct. 20: 133)
\nHamilton Park United Methodist Church \u2014 11881 Schroeder Rd\u00a0 (Ballots cast as of 3 p.m. on Oct. 20: 11)
\nDallas College, Richland Campus \u2014 12800 Abrams Rd\u00a0 (Ballots cast as of 3 p.m. on Oct. 20: 44)<\/p>\n

Hours \u2013 Oct. 20 \u2013 24: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct 25: 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Oct 26: noon to 6 p.m. Oct. 27 to Oct 31: 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.<\/p>\n

As Dallas County is registered under the Countywide Polling Place Program,<\/a> neighbors can cast their vote at any voting center in the County. To check wait times, view the county election department\u2019s interactive map.<\/a><\/p>\n

How to vote<\/p>\n

The last day to register for early voting was Oct. 6. To check your voter registration status, click here<\/a>. Upon arrival at a polling location, voters must present an approved form of ID. Acceptable IDs under Texas state law include:<\/p>\n

Texas driver\u2019s license\u00a0
\nTexas Election Identification Certificate\u00a0
\nTexas personal identification card\u00a0
\nTexas Handgun License\u00a0
\nA United States Military Identification card containing the person\u2019s photograph
\nA United States Citizenship Certificate containing the person\u2019s photograph
\nA United States Passport (book or card)<\/p>\n

Election Day\u00a0<\/p>\n
