The same streets. The same restaurants you swear you\u2019re \u201ctaking a break from\u201d but absolutely aren\u2019t. The same drive where you zone out so hard you forget how you got home, but you did, and that\u2019s what matters.<\/p>\n

And let\u2019s not ignore the unspoken community moments. Everyone collectively side-eyes the same bad drivers. Everyone knows exactly what part of town you\u2019re talking about when you say \u201cover there by that one place that used to be something else.\u201d Everyone has at least one strong opinion about Mexican food.<\/p>\n

Lubbock isn\u2019t loud about being lovable. It doesn\u2019t beg you to stay. It just kind of lets you settle in, healthily lower your standards, and breathe a little easier.<\/p>\n
And honestly? Some days, that\u2019s more than enough.<\/p>\n
I spent many years trying to get away from this place, and now? I’m just settling in, more and more, each day.<\/p>\n
