While these closures are limited to overnight hours, they will affect anyone traveling late at night or in the very early morning — including shift workers, rideshare drivers and, well, anyone else passing through Denton after dark.\u00a0<\/p>\n

During the overnight hours, all northbound lanes will be closed, forcing traffic to be routed onto the I-35E service road.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Drivers should expect slower speeds, merging traffic and possible delays at intersections.<\/p>\n

This stretch of I-35E serves as a major connector through Denton, so even though the closure happens overnight, it can still back things up — especially closer to the 9 p.m. start time and again near the early-morning reopening.\u00a0<\/p>\n

This is a full\u00a0freeway shutdown in both directions, meaning all lanes of I-35 will be closed at Oak Street during those overnight hours.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Once again, traffic will be diverted to the service roads, which will be doing all the heavy lifting while the main lanes are closed.<\/p>\n

Because this closure affects both directions, drivers passing through Denton overnight should expect heavier congestion on frontage roads, especially near ramps, intersections and local access points.\u00a0<\/p>\n
