ALAMOGORDO, N.M. (KFOX14\/CBS4) \u2014 A 38-year-old man was arrested in Alamogordo in connection with a gun robbery from a pawn shop in El Paso. <\/p>\n

According to the Alamogordo Police Department, convicted felon Shawn Camu was arrested on Saturday and charged with multiple gun crimes, as authorities accuse him of burglarizing a Benny’s Pawn– taking two pistols.<\/p>\n

APD said the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Explosives (ATF) El Paso office started the investigation and tracked Camu to Alamogordo. <\/p>\n

Once in Alamogordo, the local PD started helping by keeping tabs on Camu.<\/p>\n

During the surveillance operation, APD followed Camu after he left his home and pulled him over, detaining him until the arrival of ATF agents. <\/p>\n

Afterwards, APD said investigators searched Camu’s home and vehicle, allegedly finding the two stolen pistols, an additional gun, bullets and methamphetamine. <\/p>\n

Camu is facing the following federal charges:<\/p>\n

Theft from a Federal Firearms Licensee.Possession of a Stolen Firearm.Interstate Transportation of a Stolen Firearm.Felon in Possession of a Firearm.<\/p>\n

State drug charges are pending. <\/p>\n
