{"id":130077,"date":"2026-01-20T06:49:36","date_gmt":"2026-01-20T06:49:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/130077\/"},"modified":"2026-01-20T06:49:36","modified_gmt":"2026-01-20T06:49:36","slug":"2-suspects-charged-with-capital-murder-in-deadly-taco-truck-shooting-court-records-show","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/130077\/","title":{"rendered":"2 suspects charged with capital murder in deadly taco truck shooting, court records show"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">HOUSTON \u2013 Two suspects are facing capital murder charges in the shooting death of a taco truck operator last December, according to court documents.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">On Dec. 4, Yaddua Barraza-Hernandez, 36, was working at a taco truck on West Dyna Drive in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.click2houston.com\/topic\/Greenspoint\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.click2houston.com\/topic\/Greenspoint\/\">Greenspoint<\/a> when he was shot and killed. <\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">Houston Police later arrested two suspects, Angel Adonis Saldivar-James, 24, and Oscar Armando Roland Menjevar, 19. Both were booked in December and charged with murder and aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon, respectively. <\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">New court records filed on Saturday show that Saldivar-James and Menjevar now face capital murder charges. Before these new charges, Saldivar-James was the only suspect accused in the shooting.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">On the night of the shooting, Houston Police said two suspects approached the business where Barraza-Hernandez was working when one fired into the taco truck and the other grabbed money.
