A North Texas business plans to operate a new wine bar and restaurant to complement their wedding and catering services in the historic T&P Station in downtown Fort Worth.<\/p>\n

Under an agreement approved by the transit agency\u2019s board of directors on Oct. 20, Dallas-based Edible Ideas Inc. will also lease the former T&P Tavern space for the Station & Vine Bar as well as the station\u2019s grand ballroom for use as a wedding venue. The company is known for catering at the Fort Worth Stockyards and the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History.<\/p>\n

The lease, which includes a private bridal suite, will be for 10 years with an initial three-year term, according to Trinity Metro officials. Renovations are expected to take three to four months.<\/p>\n

T&P Tavern operated at the station, 221 W. Lancaster Ave., for 14 years before the business closed<\/a> on July 27, 2024.<\/p>\n

Edible Idea\u2019s Beyond the Box Catering plans to operate a full-service kitchen for catering events, Trinity Metro officials said.<\/p>\n

Using one company for both spaces was deliberate as the agency moves to create transit-oriented developments<\/a> at rail stations, Trinity Metro board member Ben Robertson said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis gives us a chance to do something intentional with that space,\u201d he told the Fort Worth Report, adding that users of TEXRail and Trinity Railway Express will see the business ventures operating from a key entry point to downtown.<\/p>\n

The T&P Station, built in 1931 by the Texas & Pacific Railway, features a 1920s Zigzag Moderne architectural style. The ballroom was restored in 1999 and has been available for wedding or event rentals.<\/p>\n

The new full-service wine bar will feature a curated selection of wine, wine flights, craft beers and signature cocktails, according to a news release. The bar\u2019s outdoor patio will be transformed into a garden-inspired space with lounge areas and lawn games available. The bar will host weekly wine tastings and trivia nights.<\/p>\n

A Wednesday night music series, with seating for 150 people, will feature the look and feel of a 1920s-style supper club.<\/p>\n
