It\u2019s not totally surprising that the Texas Tech Lady Raiders aren\u2019t going to end the season with an unbeaten and unblemished record, but it is absolutely disappointing that Texas Tech wasn\u2019t able to defend its home court on Saturday when facing a team that is barely above .500 on the season.<\/p>\n
As the Texas Tech women\u2019s basketball team met up with the Kansas State Wildcats in Lubbock, the Lady Raiders fell short and experienced their first defeat of the season, falling 65-59 to a K-State team that is now 10-9 overall and 3-3 in Big 12 play.<\/p>\n
That\u2019s far from good. Texas Tech was beaten on the boards by a terrifying margin of 46-20 which is certainly part of why the Wildcats won the second chance points battle by a margin of 14-3. It\u2019s also worth pointing out the fact that Kansas State had double the points in the paint that Texas Tech did (28 to 14).<\/p>\n
The Lady Raiders played some dreadful basketball in this loss and it\u2019s not shocking that Texas Tech basketball fans aren\u2019t thrilled about that.<\/p>\n

The horrendous rebounding margin that Kansas State won with absolute ease. That\u2019s a huge issue. As is the shooting in Saturday\u2019s game for Texas Tech.
