EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14\/CBS4) \u2014 The El Paso Firme Lowriders car club is holding a benefit car show for the child victims who died on the I-10 near Sierra Blanca.<\/p>\n
The event will be held on January 24 from noon to 3 p.m., with the roll-in being held from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m.<\/p>\n
The event will be held at the Sunrise Shopping Center located at 8500 Dyer Street.<\/p>\n
The event is to raise money for the family of Briella and Daniel.<\/p>\n
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, a 3-month old baby from El Paso and a 10-year-old girl from Florida died after the 2003 GMC Envoy they were traveling in veered off the road, hit the cable barrier in the middle, and rolled over multiple times.<\/p>\n
Texas DPS said it happened at around 3:25 p.m. near mile marker 101, which is close to the Sierra Blanca Border Patrol checkpoint.<\/p>\n
The driver of the GMC SUV, a 29-year-old woman from El Paso and mother of the children, was reportedly seriously injured and was airlifted to the University Medical Center.<\/p>\n
Authorities said the 3-month-old baby was pronounced dead on the scene, while the 10-year-old girl died from her injuries at the Culberson County Hospital.<\/p>\n
Texas DPS said the crash remains under investigation.<\/p>\n
According to a GoFundMe page, the mother was in the Intensive Care Unit and will require surgery.<\/p>\n
