Texas Wesleyan University, marking its 135th anniversary, has selected Bennett Partners to lead a long-range campus facilities planning effort aimed at aligning its physical environment with future academic and institutional goals.

University officials said the facilities plan will complement Texas Wesleyan’s newly developed strategic plan, ensuring campus infrastructure supports its mission, academic priorities, and long-term vision for growth and innovation. Together, the plans are designed to position the university for continued success while honoring its history as Fort Worth’s first institution of higher education.

“Strategic planning is about more than setting priorities. It is about creating environments where students can thrive,” said Texas Wesleyan President Emily W. Messer in a statement. “Bennett Partners brings deep expertise in higher education and a strong understanding of Fort Worth’s evolving landscape. Their work will help ensure our campus continues to support transformative learning experiences for generations to come.”

Bennett Partners is a longtime Fort Worth firm with a portfolio that includes higher-education projects across Texas and beyond, including work with TCU. The firm also has historical ties to Texas Wesleyan, having developed the university’s first comprehensive facilities plan more than 40 years ago.

“It is an honor to return to Texas Wesleyan at such a pivotal moment in its history,” said Michael Bennett, executive partner and CEO of Bennett Partners. “The university’s commitment to thoughtful planning, student success and community impact is clear. We look forward to partnering once again to create a facilities plan that supports both its strategic goals and its future aspirations.”
