It\u2019s the second <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dallasnews.com\/food\/restaurant-news\/2025\/04\/11\/dallas-restaurants-featured-diners-driveins-dives-food-network-2025-guy-fieri\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.dallasnews.com\/food\/restaurant-news\/2025\/04\/11\/dallas-restaurants-featured-diners-driveins-dives-food-network-2025-guy-fieri\/\">DDD-featured restaurant in Dallas<\/a> to announce its closure within a week; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dallasnews.com\/food\/restaurant-news\/2026\/01\/14\/why-rye-close-dallas-apothecary-expand-cocktail-bar-greenville\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.dallasnews.com\/food\/restaurant-news\/2026\/01\/14\/why-rye-close-dallas-apothecary-expand-cocktail-bar-greenville\/\">Rye on Greenville Avenue will also close soon<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"body-text-paragraph\">Palmer\u2019s is known for its hot chicken sandwiches and pimento cheese grits. Fortune and his team will move to a ghost kitchen in Garland, where they will make the same recipes, without the dining room attached.<\/p>\n<p class=\"body-text-paragraph\">Palmer\u2019s will also continue its corporate and event-based catering, which Fortune said comprised a significant part of the business. <\/p>\n<p class=\"body-text-paragraph\">It will continue to book the food truck, which is serving hot chicken right now at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dallasnews.com\/things-to-do\/2026\/01\/07\/what-to-know-about-the-2026-fort-worth-stock-show-and-rodeo\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.dallasnews.com\/things-to-do\/2026\/01\/07\/what-to-know-about-the-2026-fort-worth-stock-show-and-rodeo\/\">Fort Worth Stock Show &amp; Rodeo<\/a>. He hopes to sell his last hot chicken sandwiches and street tacos on Jan. 25, 2026, but fans might want to stop in earlier in case <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dallasnews.com\/news\/weather\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.dallasnews.com\/news\/weather\/\">icy or snowy conditions<\/a> move the closure up a day or two.<\/p>\n<p class=\"body-text-paragraph\">Palmer\u2019s Hot Chicken is at 6465 E. Mockingbird Lane, Dallas.
