Two chefs in nearby Seguin also have been nominated for James Beard Awards.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jamesbeard.org\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">James Beard Foundation<\/a> on Wednesday announced that Mixtli is a semifinalist for Outstanding Restaurant, Anacacho Coffee &amp; Cantina was nominated for Best New Restaurant and Tavel Bristol-Joseph of Nicosi was named a semifinalist for Outstanding Pastry Chef or Baker.<\/p>\n<p>David Kirkland and Ernest Servantes of Burnt Bean Co. in Seguin were named semifinalists for Outstanding Chef.<\/p>\n<p>The foundation also announced three local semifinalists for Best Chef: Texas:<\/p>\n<p>Sue Kim of The Magpie<\/p>\n<p>Francisco Estrada and Lizzeth Martinez of Naco Mexican<\/p>\n<p>Emil Oliva of Leche de Tigre<\/p>\n<p>Finalists will be announced on March 31.
