Box Score<\/a> <\/p>\n STEPHENVILLE, Texas \u2014 UT Arlington women’s basketball (8\u201311, 2\u20135 WAC) fell to Tarleton State (10-8, 4-3 WAC) on the road Wednesday night.\u00a0<\/p>\n Laura Bello<\/a> anchored UTA’s effort on the glass, pulling down a team-high six rebounds as the Lady Mavs stayed within reach through the first half.<\/p>\n UTA was led offensively by Kali Haizlip<\/a>, who finished with a team-high of seven points on the night. Nya Threatt<\/a> and Kendal Robinson<\/a> added six points apiece, and Alexsyah Goudeau<\/a> added 5 rebounds.\u00a0<\/p>\n After Tarleton\u00a0State held a 14\u201313 edge after one, the Lady Mavs took control with a 10\u20136 second quarter to go into the half with the lead.\u00a0Offensively, UT Arlington found its biggest advantage inside, building a 16\u20138 edge in points in the paint while also getting a lift from the bench (9\u20132).<\/p>\n The Lady Mavs\u00a0leaned on their defense to swing the game in the second quarter, holding the Texans to six points in the period and no field goals over the final 6:46 of the half.\u00a0UTA held Tarleton\u00a0State to 22% shooting (7-of-32) in the first half.<\/p>\n Out of the break, Tarleton State gained control with a 14\u201311 third quarter before pulling away in the fourth.
