EULESS, Texas \u2014 Euless first responder drone technology helps with quick response to an overnight apartment fire, officials say.\u00a0<\/p>\n

According to Euless Fire, crews were dispatched to an apartment fire in the 1200 block of El Camino Real around 1 a.m. Thursday morning.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The City of Euless launched a first responder drone program<\/a> in July of 2025.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Fire crews say they launched the drone before arriving on scene and were able to see flames coming through the roof of the apartments.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Crews quickly initiated a second-alarm response before arriving on scene and were able to have additional resources available to help fight the flames faster, officials say.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Upon arrival, fire crews were notified by someone outside that a resident was still inside the building. Firefighters were able to access the victim quickly, pulling her to safety through the window. The 96-year-old female was transported to the hospital for treatment of some burns sustained to her hand but was otherwise in good condition, crews say.\u00a0<\/p>\n

One building sustaining four apartment units was damaged, according to officials. The Red Cross is on scene assisting the victims who were displaced.\u00a0<\/p>\n
