The North Texas Disability Chamber<\/a> (NTXDC) has announced its first inductees into the Texas Disability Hall of Fame. In keeping with the NTXDC mission to \u201cpromote a more cohesive, transparent, informed, cross-disability community via events and education,\u201d this inaugural group represents local leaders who are actively supporting accessibility, equity, and disability inclusion.<\/p>\n Among three accomplished individuals, the 2026 Texas Disability Hall of Fame will honor Charmaine Solomon of Plano, Texas. Solomon is a licensed professional counselor, parent, and advocate for individuals with special needs. She is a founding member of the Collin County-based continuing education and job placement program, MyPossibilities<\/a>, and serves as the Director for Leadership Plano<\/a>, a program of the Plano Chamber of Commerce.<\/p>\n The trio of honorees also includes Neva Fairchild of Flower Mound. Fairchild specializes in higher education within the blindness and low-vision rehabilitation and services sector. She is the owner of the legal advocacy group, Experts on Blindness<\/a>. Completing the 2026 class is Clay Boatright of Frisco, an author and motivational speaker who has served the Texas disability community as Board President of The Arc of Texas<\/a> and as founding Chairman of the Texas IDD System Redesign Advisory Committee.<\/p>\n \u201cThis Hall of Fame exists to celebrate excellence and to ensure that future generations can see disability as a powerful source of leadership, resilience, and impact,\u201d says Dylan Rafaty, President and CEO of NTXDC. \u201cOn a personal level, the Chamber\u2019s work resonates deeply because it moves beyond awareness and into action.\u201d<\/p>\n
