One of San Antonio\u2019s most popular taquer\u00edas is heading into 2026 in a big way. The East Side\u2019s Con Huevos Tacos<\/a> is launching Con Huevos Kitchen<\/a> at 1841 E. Houston St., a new concept specializing in feeding crowds on the fly.<\/p>\n

Although it advertises itself as a catering operation, the new eatery also accommodates more everyday needs. The packs start at family size, serving 4-6 people, and scale up to giant orders that can keep a backyard party in full swing.<\/p>\n

Since Con Huevos is serving on a larger scale, the menu is limited to a few fan favorites, including chicken tinga or beef picadillo tacos, three types of enchiladas, or burritos. Chips, guacamole, and other fixings are sold a la carte \u2014 as are the restaurant\u2019s famously pillowy flour tortillas. <\/p>\n

All orders will be available for pick-up at their Houston Street window or delivery at select times. As of now, the concept is not offering its breakfast tacos.<\/p>\n

Con Huevos has had an enviable run since first opening in 2019. In 2022, the East Side joint was featured on a new season of Netflix docuseries Taco Chronicles, followed by a 2024 appearance<\/a> on Food Network\u2019s Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives.<\/p>\n

It has also been a hit with the critics. In October 2024, Texas Monthly Taco editor Jose R. Ralat named Con Huevos\u2019 Carmen \u2014 a potato and egg taco scrambled with Cheddar, avocado, cilantro, and ranchera sauce \u2014 as one of the 50 Best Tacos in Texas<\/a>.<\/p>\n
