One of Houston\u2019s favorite winter traditions is the Green Mountain Energy Ice at Discovery Green, and it\u2019s open through Monday, February 16th, giving Houstonians one last chance to enjoy this winter favorite. <\/p>\n
The beloved seasonal tradition invites Houstonians to lace up their skates and glide beneath the twinkling lights of the downtown skyline. <\/p>\n
There\u2019s still plenty of time to get down there and enjoy themed nights like: <\/p>\n
– Cheap Skate Mondays (Jan. 26 and Feb. 2 & 9) from 5 to 10 pm, guests can skate for just $9 plus tax, including skate rental. <\/p>\n
– Kids Skate Free Thursdays (Jan. 22 & 29 and Feb. 5 &12) from 5 to 10 pm, two kids ages 10 and under skate free with the purchase of one adult ticket.<\/p>\n
– Bumper Cars on Ice! Parkgoers can experience this timeless amusement park ride with an updated twist operating now until Monday, February 16. <\/p>\n
– Galentine\u2019s Day (Friday, Feb. 13), from 5 to 11 pm, and Valentine\u2019s Day (Saturday, Feb. 14), from 11 am to 11 pm, the rink becomes the perfect backdrop for everything from a girls\u2019 night out to a playful, romantic date<\/p>\n
– To wrap up the season, on Sunday, February 15, from 4 to 7 pm, Discovery Green invites the community to come together in the park for its annual Lunar New Year celebration sponsored by Metro by T-Mobile, featuring vibrant cultural performances by Lee\u2019s Golden Dragon, Han Narea, Dance of Asian America, and more.<\/p>\n
