The Dallas Cowboys<\/a> have stolen a promising coach away from the Philadelphia Eagles<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Cowboys have agreed to make Christian Parker their new defensive coordinator<\/a> after firing Matt Eberflus earlier this month.<\/p>\n

Parker, 34, previously spent the past two seasons in Philadelphia, serving as the passing game coordinator and defensive backs coach for the Eagles. He will now be tasked with turning around a Dallas defense that allowed the most passing yards and points in the entire NFL in 2025.<\/p>\n

The secondary was a strength for the Eagles during both of Parker’s seasons in Philadelphia and was a major factor in the team capturing the second Super Bowl title in franchise history last year.<\/p>\n

Young cornerbacks Quinyon Mitchell and Cooper DeJean both quickly developed into All-Pros<\/a> under Parker after both being selected by the Eagles early in the 2024 draft.<\/p>\n

After it was announced that Parker would be joining the Cowboys, DeJean crediting the coach for helping turn him into the player he is today.<\/p>\n

A replacement for Parker can now be added to the list of roles that the Eagles need to fill\u00a0\u2013 a list that already includes offensive coordinator.<\/p>\n
