Criminal trespass\u00a0<\/p>\n
On Jan. 12, officers arrested an unaffiliated person who violated a criminal trespass warning, UTA Police Capt. Mike McCord said in an email. He was taken to the Arlington Police Department jail. <\/p>\n
Criminal trespass at a higher education institution with a previous conviction is a class A misdemeanor punishable by a fine not to exceed $4,000, up to one year in jail or both. <\/p>\n
Criminal mischief\u00a0<\/p>\n
On Jan. 12, a student reported damage to a monitor, McCord said. <\/p>\n
Criminal mischief with a pecuniary loss between $100 and $750 is a class B misdemeanor punishable by a fine not to exceed $2,000, confinement in jail for up to 180 days or both. <\/p>\n
The case is still active. <\/p>\n
Reckless damage or destruction of property<\/p>\n
On Jan.12, a UTA Police Department public safety officer reported damage to a fire extinguisher cabinet, McCord said. <\/p>\n
On Jan. 13, a student reported damage to his vehicle while it was parked. <\/p>\n
Reckless damage or destruction of property is a class C misdemeanor punishable by a fine not to exceed $500. <\/p>\n
The Jan. 13 case is still active. <\/p>\n
Theft of property\u00a0<\/p>\n
On Jan. 14, a student reported the theft of a backpack, McCord said. <\/p>\n
Theft of property valued between $750 and $2,500 is a class A misdemeanor punishable by a fine not to exceed $4,000, up to one year in jail or both. <\/p>\n
