TORNILLO, Texas (KFOX14\/CBS4) \u2014 A 34-year-old Tornillo man was arrested Sunday for robbery after he allegedly attacked the victim and stole their truck keys. <\/p>\n
According to the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office, Javier Humberto Hernandez was arrested Sunday night after deputies found him in the 19200 block of Tornillo Avenue in Tornillo.<\/p>\n
His arrest comes after a warrant was issued on robbery charges for an incident that happened Saturday night. <\/p>\n
RECOMMENDED: Horizon City man arrested for unlawful business entry and terroristic threats<\/a><\/p>\n The Sheriff’s Office said that on Saturday, at around 7:13 p.m., deputies responding to reports of an assault in the 300 block of NW H Avenue in Fabens, met with the victim of a robbery who claimed that Hernandez had damaged their vehicle, assaulted them and stolen the victim’s truck keys before fleeing. <\/p>\n Jail records show Hernandez was booked into the El Paso County Downtown jail and charged with criminal mischief and robbery, with a combined bond set at $27,500.<\/p>\n According to jail records, as of Tuesday afternoon, Hernandez remains jailed. <\/p>\n
