Lubbock offers plenty of socially acceptable places to lose it without anyone asking questions. Here are a few of my faves. Enjoy!<\/p>\n

Your car, parked but still running.
This is sacred ground. Grocery store parking lots, especially United and H-E-B, are prime locations. Windows up, music too loud, mascara already ruined. Bonus points if you\u2019re holding a receipt and questioning every purchase you just made.<\/p>\n

Any drive-thru line.
Dairy Queen remains undefeated, but honestly, any drive-thru works. Crying while ordering food feels productive, like you\u2019re multitasking your emotions. Nobody blinks. They assume you\u2019ve had a long day. Fair.<\/p>\n

On Loop 289, going nowhere fast.
Traffic isn\u2019t even that bad, but emotionally? It\u2019s a lot. Crying while driving the loop feels ceremonial, like a lap of reflection you didn\u2019t schedule.<\/p>\n

The shower, sitting down.
This is not a red flag; it\u2019s self-care. Sitting showers are where breakthroughs happen. Shampoo bottles have heard things no therapist ever will.<\/p>\n

Something about throw pillows and fake plants really opens the emotional floodgates. You came in for toothpaste and left reconsidering every life choice you\u2019ve ever made.<\/p>\n

Gas stations at night.
There\u2019s a sacred quiet to a 10:47 p.m. gas station cry. You\u2019re tired. You need fuel. You need answers. No one there is emotionally available enough to judge you.<\/p>\n

In Lubbock, crying isn\u2019t dramatic; it\u2019s efficient. You wipe your face, adjust your sunglasses, and keep it moving. Because tomorrow, life continues, and so do you.<\/p>\n
