LUBBOCK, Texas \u2013 Winners of its last 11 games, the #6\/6 University of Houston Men’s Basketball program will face Big 12 Conference-rival #12\/12 Texas Tech at 1 p.m., Saturday, inside United Supermarkets Arena.

\nFans should note the new 1 p.m., tipoff time for Saturday’s game from earlier published schedules. Due to the threat of severe winter weather, the game recently was moved up several hours.

\nThe Cougars look for a sweep of the Red Raiders during the regular season after taking a 69-65 win inside Fertitta Center in Houston on January 6. Freshman point guard Kingston Flemings<\/a> led all players with 23 points and drained a 3-pointer with Houston holding a 1-point lead and only 30 seconds remaining to seal the victory.

\nHouston enters this weekend’s game following a 103-73 win over Arizona State inside Fertitta Center on Sunday. Flemings led all players with 20 points for his team-leading seventh 20-point game of the season. Freshman center\/forward Chris Cenac Jr.<\/a> totaled 18 points with eight rebounds and a career-high five assists while senior point guard Milos Uzan<\/a> and senior guard Emanuel Sharp<\/a> each finished with 16 points apiece.

\nWith two 3-pointers against the Sun Devils, Sharp is now tied with guard Robert McKiver for second in Houston career history with 261 treys. Guard Marcus Sasser holds the school record with 276 3-pointers during his career.

\nThis season, Sharp leads the Cougars with 15.9 points and 2.7 3-point field goals per game. Flemings leads Houston and ranks among the Big 12 leaders with 5.4 assists per game and a 3.03 assist-turnover ratio while Cenac is tops with 7.6 rebounds per contest.

\nWith 2.0 steals and 1.6 blocks per game, junior forward Joseph Tugler<\/a> is the only student-athlete to rank among the Big 12’s Top-Nine leaders in both categories.
