LUBBOCK, Texas \u2013 The No. 21 Texas Tech Lady Raiders fell to the No. 10 Oklahoma State Cowgirls, 4-0, on Saturday afternoon at The Falls Tennis & Athletic Club in the ITA Kickoff Weekend finals.

\nThe Cowgirls gained an early advantage by claiming the doubles point on courts one and three. Oklahoma State opened doubles play with a 6-1 win on court one, as Anastasyia Komar and Rose Marie Nijkamp defeated the No.75 duo Yekaterina Dmitrichenko<\/a> and Hailey Murphy<\/a>. The point was clinched shortly after on court three, where Lucia Peyre and Luca Udvardy earned a 6-2 victory over Andreea Lila<\/a> and Elena Daskalova<\/a>.

\nIn singles, the Cowgirls continued their momentum by taking the first sets on all four courts. The Cowgirls then earned their second point of the match with a win on court one where Olivia Lincer took down Dmitrichenko, 6-2, 6-1. On court two, Murphy was able to win set two, 6-3, after a 4-6 set one. Murphy’s match went unfinished with a 5-2 lead in the third set over Komar.

\nOn court three, Mariia Hlahola<\/a> fell to No. 12 Nijkamp, 6-4, 6-3, to give the Cowgirls a 3-0 lead. Similar to Murphy, Kseniia Logvin<\/a> was also able to win her second set after a first set lost, before falling to No. 48 Peyre to end the match, 1-6, 6-2, 4-6.

\nUp next, the Lady Raiders host the University of Oregon on Feb. 1 at the McLeod Tennis Center.
