{"id":137660,"date":"2026-01-25T17:24:10","date_gmt":"2026-01-25T17:24:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/137660\/"},"modified":"2026-01-25T17:24:10","modified_gmt":"2026-01-25T17:24:10","slug":"dart-releases-limited-service-schedule-as-wintry-mix-extreme-cold-blankets-north-texas","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/137660\/","title":{"rendered":"DART releases limited service schedule as wintry mix, extreme cold blankets North Texas"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) said it&#8217;s operating under a modified service schedule on Sunday due to limited &#8220;manpower&#8221; and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/texas\/video\/snow-sleet-create-hazardous-road-conditions-across-north-texas\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" data-invalid-url-rewritten-http=\"\">hazardous road conditions<\/a> after a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/texas\/news\/wintry-precipitation-tapering-off-sunday-dangerously-cold-through-tuesday-morning\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-invalid-url-rewritten-http=\"\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">winter storm swept through North Texas<\/a> this weekend. <\/p>\n<p>DART said it&#8217;s prioritizing the safety of its riders, operators and frontline teams while maintaining service on its most frequently used routes. <\/p>\n<p>Bus and rail service outlook <\/p>\n<p>DART said bus routes 1 through 122 will run as normal; however, service on other routes will be limited. DART will also have vehicle canvassing areas along the bus routes that aren&#8217;t as frequently used. <\/p>\n<p>For rail services, customers should plan on about an hour delay due to wintry conditions across DFW, DART said. <\/p>\n<p>Bus bridges have been created for the following locations to help rail customers:<\/p>\n<p>LBJ Skillman to Rowlett8th Corinth to UNT8th Corinth to WestmorelandBachman to Belt Line<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;DART encourages riders to allow extra travel time and to check out the latest service information before leaving for their trip,&#8221; the news release said. <\/p>\n<p>\u00a0If you have questions or concerns, you can call DART Customer Service at 214-979-1111, and for scheduling updates, visit <a href=\"http:\/\/www.DART.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">www.DART.org<\/a>.
