The Calallen Wildcats<\/a> will venture away from home to face off against the King Brahmas<\/a> at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Calallen has five straight victories, King has six straight defeats), but none of that matters once you’re on the court.<\/p>\n

On Friday, Calallen strolled past Harmony School of Excellence with points to spare, taking the game 57-39. Calallen got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Payton Tennill<\/a> out in front who shot 86% from the field en route to 13 points along with eight rebounds and six assists. Tennill is on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he’s posted one of at least 46% in the last six games he’s played. Another player making a difference was Sam Cecava<\/a>, who went 6-for-12 to rack up 16 points and five boards.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, King suffered their closest loss since December 5, 2024 on Friday. They fell just short of Robstown by a score of 71-68. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Tuesday (57), the Brahmas still had to take the loss.<\/p>\n

King’s defeat dropped their record down to 5-14. As for Calallen, their victory bumped their record up to 20-8.<\/p>\n

Calallen didn’t have too much breathing room in their game against King when the teams last played back in February of 2025, but they still walked away with a 60-56 win.
