Investigators in Maine are trying to figure out what happened to cause the Sunday night crash of a large private plane registered to a Houston company.<\/p>\n
Seven people were killed and one person injured when the corporate jet went down just after takeoff from the Bangor International Airport about 6:45 pm CT.<\/p>\n
Names of the plane’s owners have not been released, but earlier reports indicated it belonged to a Houston law firm. <\/p>\n
The plane was leaving the airport during what’s described as a “massive snowstorm event.”<\/p>\n
The injured man is said to be a member of the plane’s crew, according to the Federal Aviation Administration’s preliminary report on Monday.<\/p>\n
The report said the plane landed upside down and caught fire shortly after becoming airborne, and is describes as a Bombardier Challenger 650 business jet<\/p>\n
