Shaquille O\u2019Neal<\/a> has never been the kind to shy away from firing some shots, and he was at it again during an appearance on Sundae Conversation<\/a>. Host Caleb Pressley asked O\u2019Neal (DJ Diesel) to name the NBA player for the DJ names he\u2019d provide, and the results were quite interesting.<\/p>\n

Caleb Pressley: \u201cDJ unleaded.\u201d<\/p>\n

Shaquille O\u2019Neal: \u201cRudy Gobert.\u201d<\/p>\n

Pressley: \u201cDJ low fuel.\u201d<\/p>\n

O\u2019Neal: \u201cJoel Embiid.\u201d<\/p>\n

Pressley: \u201cDJ just at the gas station to use the bathroom.\u201d<\/p>\n

O\u2019Neal: \u201cBen Simmons.\u201d<\/p>\n

Pressley: \u201cIf Yao Ming was a DJ, what kind of music would Yao Ming DJ?\u201d<\/p>\n

O\u2019Neal: \u201cI don\u2019t think I\u2019m allowed to say.\u201d<\/p>\n

Pressley: \u201cWhat kind of music would Chauncey Billups play?\u201d<\/p>\n

O\u2019Neal: \u201cMusic that you can bet on.\u201d<\/p>\n

That was ruthless.<\/p>\n

O\u2019Neal went after Minnesota Timberwolves<\/a> center Rudy Gobert<\/a> first, and he has taken so many shots at the Frenchman over the years. The biggest one was probably when he said that Gobert is the worst player in NBA history<\/a>.<\/p>\n

O\u2019Neal ripped Ben Simmons<\/a> back then as well, stating that he makes all the money in the world and can\u2019t play. He has also wildly said Simmons should be arrested for robbery<\/a>, given how little he has produced on the court for all the money he has made.<\/p>\n

As for Philadelphia 76ers<\/a> star Joel Embiid<\/a>, O\u2019Neal has called him soft in the past for not playing back-to-backs<\/a>, which is probably why he named him for low fuel. He doesn\u2019t consider Embiid to be a top big man in the NBA anymore<\/a>, either.<\/p>\n

O\u2019Neal does have some respect for Yao Ming, so he kept his mouth shut, but fellow Hall of Famer Chauncey Billups<\/a> wasn\u2019t so fortunate. Billups had been arrested in Oct. 2025<\/a> as part of an investigation into rigged underground poker games backed by the Mafia. He has pleaded not guilty, and only time will tell how this situation pans out.<\/p>\n

Shaquille O\u2019Neal\u2019s Top Four Players In The NBA<\/p>\n

While O\u2019Neal was firing shots on the show, he showed some love to today\u2019s players recently. Here\u2019s what he had to say when asked to name the five best players in the NBA<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201c[Nikola Jokic] would be one,\u201d O\u2019Neal said. \u201c[Victor Wembanyama] would be two. You got Giannis [Antetokounmpo]. You still got to put LeBron [James] in there. And I\u2019m not sure on the fifth spot, but listen, the league is in good hands. It\u2019s a lot of great players\u2026 I don\u2019t really like answering because you leaving people out.\u201d<\/p>\n

With how often O\u2019Neal thrashes today\u2019s players, it was a bit of a surprise to hear him say that the NBA is in good hands. As for the list, LeBron James<\/a> being there was unexpected.<\/p>\n

James is averaging 22.3 points, 6.0 rebounds, 6.9 assists, 1.1 steals, and 0.7 blocks per game for the Los Angeles Lakers<\/a> in 2025-26. The 41-year-old was rightly not named a starter for the All-Star Game for the first time in 21 years, as he hasn\u2019t been playing at that level.<\/p>\n

The three others O\u2019Neal mentioned would be in the top five for most.
