{"id":139210,"date":"2026-01-27T01:27:31","date_gmt":"2026-01-27T01:27:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/139210\/"},"modified":"2026-01-27T01:27:31","modified_gmt":"2026-01-27T01:27:31","slug":"police-disrupt-traffic-in-east-el-paso-video-shows-troopers-taking-suspect-into-custody","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/139210\/","title":{"rendered":"Police disrupt traffic in East El Paso; video shows troopers taking suspect into custody"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14\/CBS4) \u2014 Social media videos appear to show a police chase disrupting traffic near I-10 in East El Paso on Monday evening.<\/p>\n<p>The Texas Department of Transportation first sent out an alert at around 4:05 p.m. stating that law enforcement activity on Gateway East after Hawkins closed the right lane and caused a minor backup. <\/p>\n<p>At the same time, videos were shared on the popular social media account<a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/therealfitfamelpaso\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\"> therealfitfamelpaso<\/a>, where it appears that state troopers with the Texas Department of Public Safety take a man into custody in the same area.<\/p>\n<p>The video shows state troopers carrying a handcuffed man across traffic before putting him against the hood of a DPS unit.<\/p>\n<p>WATCH:<\/p>\n<p><p>Police disrupt traffic in East El Paso; video shows troopers taking suspect into custody.
