Charlotte, North Carolina-based NB Holdings is facing foreclosure of its<br \/>\n258-key Le Meridien Dallas hotel in Texas, according to The Real Deal. The<br \/>\nowner allegedly defaulted on the $42.8 million loan tied to the property,<br \/>\naccording to Roddy\u2019s Foreclosure Listing Service. Morgan Stanley provided the<br \/>\nmortgage in 2019, according to records. NB Holdings bought the property in<br \/>\n2015. The property was built in 2002 and renovated in 2009, when it was flagged<br \/>\nas a Le Meridien. According to the Real Deal, NB Holdings filed for Chapter 11<br \/>\nbankruptcy protection in April 2022 and completed the bankruptcy process in<br \/>\nMarch 2024.<\/p>\n<p>Evolution<br \/>\nadds in Florida. Evolution Hospitality, a subsidiary of Plano, Texas-based Aimbridge<br \/>\nHospitality, has added the 82-key Balfour Miami Beach in Florida to its<br \/>\nmanagement portfolio. The boutique art deco hotel was built in the 1940s and is<br \/>\npart of Wyndham Hotels &amp; Resorts\u2019 Registry Collection Hotels. Toronto-based<br \/>\nasset manager FullG CRE Investments selected Evolution.<\/p>\n<p>Sonesta<br \/>\n26% franchise growth. Newton, Massachusetts-based Sonesta International Hotels achieved a record 26%<br \/>\nfranchise net unit growth in 2025. This growth was driven both by global<br \/>\norganic franchise expansion and by the sale of 112 SVC properties encumbered by<br \/>\nlong-term Sonesta franchise agreements.<\/p>\n<p>Corinthia to Lake Como. Corinthia Hotels is partnering with RoundShield and Kervis<br \/>\nSGR to operate a luxury resort in Lake Como, Italy. The 58-key Corinthia Lake<br \/>\nComo will be built adjacent to the grounds of Italy\u2019s second-oldest golf course<br \/>\nin the alpine village of Menaggio. The development will complement the historic<br \/>\ncourse with a beach club on the lake\u2019s western shore, creating a fully<br \/>\nintegrated resort. Corinthia Lake Como will be the brand\u2019s second property in<br \/>\nItaly. Plans include exceptional spa, wellness and dining experiences, and a<br \/>\nlakefront club providing direct access to the water at the widest part of the<br \/>\nlake. The resort will also feature three branded residences. Construction is<br \/>\nexpected to begin following final planning approvals, with operations targeted<br \/>\nfor late 2028. The property is owned by the Putter Fund and being developed by<br \/>\nKervis SGR S.p.A &#8211; an Italian real estate and special situations investment<br \/>\nmanager. Kervis is the asset manager of the Putter Fund, fully invested by a<br \/>\nRoundShield entity.<\/p>\n<p>Global<br \/>\nHotel Alliance hits a record. UAE-based Global Hotel Alliance had total revenue of $3.2<br \/>\nbillion, a 21% year-over-year increase over last year&#8217;s record number. Repeat stay revenue climbed 18% to $1.8<br \/>\nbillion, while cross-brand stay revenue surged by 15%, reaching $424 million.<br \/>\nEnrollments in GHA\u2019s loyalty program rose 25% to 4 million, with total<br \/>\nmembership surpassing 34 million. \u00a0In 2025, GHA welcomed eight new hotel<br \/>\nbrands to its portfolio and added 175 properties, almost tripling its growth<br \/>\nrate from 2024.<\/p>\n<p>Hunter<br \/>\ncloses $1.8B in 2025. Atlanta-based Hunter Advisors closed more than $1.8 billion in hotel<br \/>\ntransaction volume across 136 hotels in 2025. The firm surpassed $1 billion in<br \/>\nclosed volume by mid-November, including $550 million in fourth-quarter<br \/>\nclosings and $300 million in capital markets placements. Transactions spanned<br \/>\nlifestyle, upscale, select-service, and extended-stay assets, including notable<br \/>\ndeals such as AC San Diego Downtown Gaslamp Quarter, Hyatt Place Athens<br \/>\nDowntown, and multiple portfolio and institutional sell-down transactions.<\/p>\n<p>Wyndham<br \/>\nAI study. Artificial<br \/>\nintelligence has rapidly shifted from an emerging concept to a business<br \/>\nimperative for hotel owners, and now the focus is on adopting AI at scale, according to Wyndham Hotels &amp; Resorts&#8217; second-annual Owner Trends Report.<br \/>\nThe report shows the industry has reached an AI inflection point \u2014 hotel owners<br \/>\nand developers are embracing AI but increasingly need guidance on how to<br \/>\nconvert early adoption into long-term returns.
