Dallas
\nhotel faces foreclosure. Charlotte, North Carolina-based NB Holdings is facing foreclosure of its
\n258-key Le Meridien Dallas hotel in Texas, according to The Real Deal. The
\nowner allegedly defaulted on the $42.8 million loan tied to the property,
\naccording to Roddy\u2019s Foreclosure Listing Service. Morgan Stanley provided the
\nmortgage in 2019, according to records. NB Holdings bought the property in
\n2015. The property was built in 2002 and renovated in 2009, when it was flagged
\nas a Le Meridien. According to the Real Deal, NB Holdings filed for Chapter 11
\nbankruptcy protection in April 2022 and completed the bankruptcy process in
\nMarch 2024.<\/p>\n
Evolution
\nadds in Florida. Evolution Hospitality, a subsidiary of Plano, Texas-based Aimbridge
\nHospitality, has added the 82-key Balfour Miami Beach in Florida to its
\nmanagement portfolio. The boutique art deco hotel was built in the 1940s and is
\npart of Wyndham Hotels & Resorts\u2019 Registry Collection Hotels. Toronto-based
\nasset manager FullG CRE Investments selected Evolution.<\/p>\n
Sonesta
\n26% franchise growth. Newton, Massachusetts-based Sonesta International Hotels achieved a record 26%
\nfranchise net unit growth in 2025. This growth was driven both by global
\norganic franchise expansion and by the sale of 112 SVC properties encumbered by
\nlong-term Sonesta franchise agreements.<\/p>\n
Corinthia to Lake Como. Corinthia Hotels is partnering with RoundShield and Kervis
\nSGR to operate a luxury resort in Lake Como, Italy. The 58-key Corinthia Lake
\nComo will be built adjacent to the grounds of Italy\u2019s second-oldest golf course
\nin the alpine village of Menaggio. The development will complement the historic
\ncourse with a beach club on the lake\u2019s western shore, creating a fully
\nintegrated resort. Corinthia Lake Como will be the brand\u2019s second property in
\nItaly. Plans include exceptional spa, wellness and dining experiences, and a
\nlakefront club providing direct access to the water at the widest part of the
\nlake. The resort will also feature three branded residences. Construction is
\nexpected to begin following final planning approvals, with operations targeted
\nfor late 2028. The property is owned by the Putter Fund and being developed by
\nKervis SGR S.p.A – an Italian real estate and special situations investment
\nmanager. Kervis is the asset manager of the Putter Fund, fully invested by a
\nRoundShield entity.<\/p>\n
Global
\nHotel Alliance hits a record. UAE-based Global Hotel Alliance had total revenue of $3.2
\nbillion, a 21% year-over-year increase over last year’s record number. Repeat stay revenue climbed 18% to $1.8
\nbillion, while cross-brand stay revenue surged by 15%, reaching $424 million.
\nEnrollments in GHA\u2019s loyalty program rose 25% to 4 million, with total
\nmembership surpassing 34 million. \u00a0In 2025, GHA welcomed eight new hotel
\nbrands to its portfolio and added 175 properties, almost tripling its growth
\nrate from 2024.<\/p>\n
Hunter
\ncloses $1.8B in 2025. Atlanta-based Hunter Advisors closed more than $1.8 billion in hotel
\ntransaction volume across 136 hotels in 2025. The firm surpassed $1 billion in
\nclosed volume by mid-November, including $550 million in fourth-quarter
\nclosings and $300 million in capital markets placements. Transactions spanned
\nlifestyle, upscale, select-service, and extended-stay assets, including notable
\ndeals such as AC San Diego Downtown Gaslamp Quarter, Hyatt Place Athens
\nDowntown, and multiple portfolio and institutional sell-down transactions.<\/p>\n
Wyndham
\nAI study. Artificial
\nintelligence has rapidly shifted from an emerging concept to a business
\nimperative for hotel owners, and now the focus is on adopting AI at scale, according to Wyndham Hotels & Resorts’ second-annual Owner Trends Report.
\nThe report shows the industry has reached an AI inflection point \u2014 hotel owners
\nand developers are embracing AI but increasingly need guidance on how to
\nconvert early adoption into long-term returns. Nearly all hotel owners (98%)
\nsay they have begun incorporating AI into their business, and while enthusiasm
\nis high, execution remains uneven, with less than a third (32%) saying AI is
\nembedded across most aspects of their operations and nearly three-quarters
