FORT WORTH, Texas \u2013 Winners of 11 of its last 12 games, the #10\/7 University of Houston Men’s Basketball program returns to action when it meets Big 12 Conference rival TCU at 8 p.m., Wednesday, inside Ed & Rae Schollmaier.

\nThe Cougars look to return to their winning ways after suffering a 90-86 loss at #12\/12 Texas Tech on Saturday afternoon, their first conference setback of the season and only the fifth in more than two years in the league.
\n\u00a0
\nAgainst the Red Raiders, freshman point guard Kingston Flemings<\/a> led all players with 42 points on 15-of-26 shooting. The San Antonio, Texas, native set a Houston freshman single-game scoring record, topping the previous mark by Cougar great Rob Williams against Rice during the 1979-80 season.

\nFlemings became only the 12th Cougar in school history to score 40+ points in a game and recorded the third-highest point total by any Cougar in any class during a true\u00a0road game. With his impressive performance, Flemings was named to the Big 12 Starting Five of the Week for the for the fifth time this season and moved into the team lead with 17.0 points per game.

\nWith three 3-pointers against #12\/12 Texas Tech last weekend, senior guard Emanuel Sharp<\/a> moved into sole possession of second with 264 treys in Houston career history. Guard Marcus Sasser holds the school record with 276 treys from 2019 to 2023.
