{"id":140242,"date":"2026-01-27T21:16:06","date_gmt":"2026-01-27T21:16:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/140242\/"},"modified":"2026-01-27T21:16:06","modified_gmt":"2026-01-27T21:16:06","slug":"texas-ag-suing-nurse-practitioner-for-mailing-abortion-drugs-to-el-paso","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/140242\/","title":{"rendered":"Texas AG suing nurse practitioner for mailing abortion drugs to El Paso"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) &#8212; Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton is suing Debra Lynch, a Delaware-based nurse practitioner accused of shipping abortion drugs to El Paso.<\/p>\n<p>Lynch operates Her Safe Harbor, a group that Paxton says routinely sends the abortion drug mifepristone and misoprostol to women in other states.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The organization advertises abortion pills by mail and promises delivery to Texas within days,&#8221; Paxton&#8217;s office explained.\u00a0&#8220;The lawsuit references a quote from Lynch in which she acknowledges that she and her staff \u201cmail a lot [of abortion drugs] to Texas,\u201d including Beaumont, Fulshear, Tomball, Houston, El Paso,\u00a0and\u00a0other major cities\u00a0that\u00a0she alludes to.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Paxton&#8217;s lawsuit alleges that a man used the drugs to &#8220;secretly poison his girlfriend, causing the death of their unborn child, and sending the mother to the hospital.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Paxton is also taking legal action against two other abortion drug providers, Plan C and Coeytaux.<\/p>\n<p>BE PART OF THE CONVERSATION<\/p>\n<p>KVIA ABC 7 is committed to providing a forum for civil and constructive conversation.<\/p>\n<p>Please keep your comments respectful and relevant.
