found<\/a> the woman, known as Bobbi, curled up on the ground wearing only a thin jacket and sweatpants.<\/p>\n\u201cSo when I picked her up, she was stiff as a rock,\u201d Hussain said, per Fox 4 KDFW. Surveillance footage captured him carrying the woman into the store.<\/p>\n
A regular customer had alerted Hussain that Bobbi needed help after spending Friday night outside. Temperatures plummeted to 16 degrees that morning.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt kind of broke my heart because when I brought her inside, my hands were cold, so I was like, if I\u2019m cold off of 5-10 minutes, I can just imagine a lady like that being out there all night,\u201d Hussain said.<\/p>\n
The Fort Worth Fire Department responded and transported Bobbi to a local hospital. Her current condition remains unknown.<\/p>\n
Bobbi\u2019s son later contacted Hussain to thank him for saving his mother\u2019s life.<\/p>\n
Despite being called a hero, Hussain insisted his actions simply reflected how the store treats its community.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe take care of our daily customers. This isn\u2019t just a \u2018hey, how are you doing?\u2019 and then, when you\u2019re in a time of need, we\u2019re not there. No, we\u2019re always there for our customers. All the time,\u201d he said, per Fox 4.<\/p>\n
\u201cI wouldn\u2019t say I\u2019m a hero, and the reason I say that is because this is just the one instance that we caught on camera. This is our neighborhood, this is what we do for our customers and our people that are part of our community.\u201d<\/p>\n
Hussain plans to launch a fundraiser for Bobbi to help her secure stable housing.
