Recycling make-up days will be collected according to the following schedule:<\/p>\n<p>Monday Recycling Day \u2013 Resume regular schedule on Monday, February 2<\/p>\n<p>Tuesday Recycling Day \u2013 Make-up on Thursday, January 29<\/p>\n<p>Thursday Recycling Day \u2013 Make-up on Friday, January 30<\/p>\n<p>Friday Recycling Day \u2013 Make-up on Saturday, January 31<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/UPDATED-trash-schedule-1-28-26-Facebook-1024x1024.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-24537\"  \/><\/p>\n<p>As mentioned in Tuesday\u2019s release, the City\u2019s Public Services Department planned to conduct a thorough evaluation of alleyways throughout Richardson this morning to determine if conditions were safe for large recycling vehicles. While many City streets have experienced significant ice melt, alleyways are often more shaded and receive less traffic, causing ice to thaw more slowly and creating unsafe driving and loading conditions for collection crews.<\/p>\n<p>After conducting the evaluation, we determined that conditions are still not safe.<\/p>\n<p>Commercial solid waste service will resume normal operations on Thursday, Jan. 29.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur crews carefully evaluated alley conditions across Richardson this morning, and many areas remain unsafe for large recycling trucks because the ice simply isn\u2019t melting as quickly as we had hoped,\u201d said City Manager Don Magner. \u201cWe appreciate residents\u2019 patience as we adjust the schedule to protect both our employees and the community.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>State of the City Address Taking Place as Scheduled<br \/>Richardson\u2019s annual State of the City Address will take place as scheduled on Wednesday, Jan. 28, at 6:30 p.m. at the Eisemann Center.<\/p>\n<p>For those who prefer to watch remotely, the event will be streamed live online and available for on-demand viewing following the presentation at\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.cor.net\/StateOfTheCity\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">www.cor.net\/StateOfTheCity<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Residents are encouraged to choose the attendance option that best fits their comfort level as winter weather conditions continue to impact travel across the region.<\/p>\n<p>City Facilities Will Open at Noon Today<\/p>\n<p>LIBRARY PATRONS:<br \/>Due dates and hold pick-up dates for all materials have been extended through Friday, January 30. The exterior book drop will be open at noon.<\/p>\n<p>MUNICIPAL COURT:<br \/>Municipal Court staff will be available beginning at Noon on Wednesday, Jan. 28. All court trials previously scheduled for Wednesday will be reset and heard at a later date. Individuals affected by these changes should contact the court to confirm their new court date and will also receive updated information regarding their rescheduled court dates.<\/p>\n<p>SHERRILL PARK GOLF COURSE:<br \/>The greens at Sherrill Park Golf Course are expected to remain covered until temperatures consistently reach levels that allow for safe removal.
