SECOND SUNDAYS AT DC: DANCE + MOVEMENT WORKSHOP<\/a><\/p>\n

Dallas-based dance artist Lauren Kravitz joins Dallas Contemporary for a guided movement workshop inspired by the gestures, tensions and layered physicality of the current exhibition Pam Evelyn: Salvaged Future. No prior dance experience is needed. Participants are invited to explore presence, motion and the echoes of the artworks through their own bodies.<\/p>\n

Dallas Black Dance Theatre\u2019s 2026 Cultural Awareness Series opens with KALEIDOSCOPE. The Wyly Theatre comes alive with the powerful choreography of Dianne McIntyre\u2019s \u201cThe Nina Simone Project\u201d alongside Tommie-Waheed Evans\u2019 evocative \u201cBodies as Sites of Faith and Protest.\u201d<\/p>\n

DALLAS SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA LEAGUE PRESENTATION BALL<\/a><\/p>\n

The Dallas Symphony Orchestra League Presentation Ball celebrates 40 years of music and impact. Honorary chairs Fanchon and Howard Hallam join co-chairs Maggie Kipp and Kristin Hallam for the milestone event. Since 1998, the League has given more than $25 million to bring the DSO\u2019s music to over 240,000 children and families each year.<\/p>\n

RAIMUNDO DE MADRAZO<\/a><\/p>\n

Raimundo de Madrazo makes its U.S. debut at the Meadows Museum at SMU, following its premiere at Fundaci\u00f3n MAPFRE in Madrid. The first retrospective devoted to the artist, the exhibition traces Madrazo\u2019s rise as one of the Belle \u00c9poque\u2019s most celebrated painters, featuring nearly 75 works from major museums and private collections. The Meadows Museum is the only venue outside Madrid to present the exhibition.<\/p>\n

SYMPHONY OF CHEFS<\/a><\/p>\n

Some of the city\u2019s top chefs are coming together for a special event benefiting KidLinks. Honorary chef chairs Jennie Kelly and Brandon Moore of Fond lead a lineup that includes Aaron Collins of Caf\u00e9 Momentum, Michael Matis of Fearing\u2019s Restaurant, Franchesa Nor of Dive Coastal Cuisine and more. Guests will enjoy an interactive, chef-prepared four-course dinner paired with wine from world-class vineyards, a silent auction featuring exclusive experiences and additional surprises. The event runs from 6:00 to 9:15 p.m. at the Astoria Event Center in Irving, Texas.<\/p>\n

WHERE WE STAND<\/a><\/p>\n

At Bryant Hall on the Kalita Humphreys Theater Campus, Dallas Theater Center presents Where We Stand by Donnetta Lavinia Gray, directed by Akin Babatunde. Broadway actress and Dallas favorite Liz Mikel stars as a lone storyteller who conjures a world through music and magic. In this interactive town hall\u2013style play, the audience faces a choice: mercy or justice? Stay late conversations will happen after every performance with Mikel.<\/p>\n

DIVERSIONS DALLAS<\/a><\/p>\n

This program features four standout works in one evening, from Tim O\u2019Keefe\u2019s sweeping Violin Concerto in D to Martha Graham\u2019s expressive Diversion of Angels. The night includes the world premiere of O\u2019Keefe\u2019s contemporary Bolero and concludes with Paul Taylor\u2019s high-energy Company B, set to the swing-era hits of The Andrews Sisters.
