Crews at a landmark downtown Dallas hotel were still cleaning up Wednesday after its glass atrium buckled and shattered under the weight of ice and snow from the recent blast of winter weather<\/a> that walloped North Texas.<\/p>\n

No injuries were reported at The Adolphus<\/a>, located at 1321 Commerce Street, after a mix of frozen precipitation and glass fell to the floor Tuesday night, damaging the hotel\u2019s drawing room area.<\/p>\n

In a written statement, the hotel\u2019s public relations staff said Wednesday that the upscale hotel had prepared for the possibility of such an event. <\/p>\n

\u201cThe team anticipated this scenario, and had pre-restricted this area of the hotel from any guest or staff access,\u201d the statement said.<\/p>\n

The incident was captured by someone inside the hotel and shared on social media. It was not immediately clear how many people, if any, were in adjacent areas at the time of the incident. <\/p>\n

Hotel workers swiftly contained the impact of the damage and insulated the lobby, according to the hotel\u2019s statement. <\/p>\n
