As much as we love the fast food experience<\/a>\u2014the thrill of pulling into the drive-thru and being handed a meal that\u2019s still hot from the fryer\u2014there\u2019s arguably nothing more convenient than having your fast food favorites<\/a> waiting in the freezer, ready at any hour of the day, no warming up the car required.\n<\/p>\n

Over the years, we\u2019ve discovered a few freezer staples that come impressively close to the real thing\u2014McDonald\u2019s-style fries<\/a>, Chick-fil-A\u2013inspired nugget<\/a>s, and bottled Raising Cane\u2019s sauce<\/a>, to name a few. But when Taco Bell<\/a> launched its grocery line<\/a> at Walmart in 2024, the frozen fast food experience got a whole lot more authentic, thanks to real-deal Crunchwrap Supreme<\/a> and Chipotle Chicken Quesadilla Cravings Kits.\n<\/p>\n

Still, one famed Taco Bell favorite never made the leap to home freezers. Now, Old El Paso<\/a> is stepping in to fill that gap in the freezer aisle\u2014and fans<\/a> think the new offering \u201clooks fantastic.\u201d\n<\/p>\n

Old El Paso Launches a New Mexican Pizza Kit <\/p>\n

Old El Paso is already known for its creative (and oh-so-convenient) dinner kits, from the Stacked Queso Crunch Kit to the Birria Taco Kit<\/a>. So while we\u2019re thrilled by its latest launch\u2014the Mexican Pizza\u2014we can\u2019t say we\u2019re all that surprised.\n<\/p>\n

The love for this Taco Bell signature menu item<\/a> is undeniable. First introduced in 1985 as the Pizzazz Pizza, the Mexican Pizza is comforting and hearty yet crispy and fresh\u2014easy enough to eat as a quick snack or enjoy as a full meal.\n<\/p>\n

Fans have been DIY-ing their own homemade versions of the Mexican Pizza<\/a> for years, especially during the item\u2019s two-year hiatus from Taco Bell menus beginning in 2020. Now, thanks to the Tex-Mex grocery brand, there\u2019s an official way to recreate that cheesy, meaty crispiness at home, all in one simple package.\n<\/p>\n

Designed to serve six, the kit includes 12 crispy tostadas, one seasoning packet, one taco sauce packet, and one queso sauce packet. Of course, as our own homemade recipe<\/a> will tell you, it still takes seasoned ground beef<\/a>, refried beans<\/a>, a generous helping of Mexican-style cheese blend, and fresh chopped tomatoes to truly achieve Taco Bell standards\u2014but this kit gets you halfway there.\n<\/p>\n

Fans are already sold on the idea before even giving it a try. \u201cMexican pizzas for life!\u201d one fan wrote. \u201cAmplifying my taco Tuesdays!\u201d shared another.\n<\/p>\n

The kits have been spotted so far at Walmart, but might roll out to other retailers in the coming weeks. And dressed up with all your favorite Taco Bell grocery condiments, like Fire Sauce, Creamy Avocado Ranch, or Salsa con Queso, we bet you\u2019ll hardly be able to tell the difference from the drive-thru version.\n<\/p>\n
